Meteorites delivered gold to Earth

Scientists have shown that the Earth’s surface became enriched with precious metals by impacting meteorites.
The Earth’s crust and mantle has considerably more gold than expected from favoured models of planetary formation.
A study from the University of Bristol looked at some of the oldest rocks on Earth, demonstrating that gold was delivered by meteorites long after their formation. Go to story
Srimad-Bhagavatam, Canto 8, Chapter 12, Text 33:
“O King, wheresoever on the surface of the globe fell the semen of the great personality of Lord Shiva, mines of gold and silver later appeared.”
The Srimad-Bhagavatam, also known as the Bhagavat Purana tells the story of Lord Shiva’s attraction to the Supreme Personality of Godhead incarnate as Mohini Murti. When She escaped his embrace, he chased after Her, and in his excitement, discharged semen. Wherever his semen fell, gold and silver appeared.
Whether you believe it or not, this explanation is certainly more titillating than that of the scientists.
