Generally a person living in a family becomes overly attached to fruitive activity. In other words, he tries to enjoy the results of his activities. A devotee, however, knows that Kṛṣṇa is the supreme enjoyer and the supreme proprietor (bhoktāraṁ yajña-tapasāṁ sarva-loka-maheśvaram [Bg. 5.29]). Consequently, the devotee does not consider himself the proprietor of any occupation. The devotee always thinks of the Supreme Personality of Godhead as the proprietor; therefore the results of his business are offered to the Supreme Lord. One who thus lives in the material world with his family and children never becomes affected by the contaminations of the material world. more

The Spiritual Master: Emissary of the Supreme Person
Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, known to his disciples as “Srila Prabhupada”.Lord Chaitanya states that it is a fortunate person who comes in contact with a bona fide spiritual master by the grace of Krishna. One who is serious about spiritual life is given by Krishna the intelligence to come in contact with a bona fide spiritual master, and then by the grace of the spiritual master one becomes advanced in Krishna consciousness. more
Proof in realization
STUDENT: What separates your community from all the other communities? Everyone claims that their system is the ultimate.
HANSADUTTA: The Krishna consciousness movement is based or rooted in the authorized books of the Vedic literature, the original books of knowledge in human society. And furthermore, it is guided by the guru-parampara, or disciplic succession. it’s not something fashionable, manufactured for satisfying popular demand. It’s a standard process which has been tried, tested and proven by all the acharyas [prominent teachers] going back to Krishna Himself, who is the author of the Vedas. That’s what makes it different. It’s authorized on the basis of standard books and recognized acharyas, whereas every other movement is something concocted or manufactured, unauthorized. more
