As stated in my
forthcoming book, Horoscope for Disaster, lingering
effects of solar and lunar eclipses remain and do manifest themselves
in certain mathematical patterns when sensitive points are crossed
through the unending feature of the Time Factor in space. Accordingly,
the E.F.I., or Eclipse Field of Influence, extends for a certain,
measurable amount of time into the future proceding each solar or lunar
black-out
. As observed in many, many instances over the Twentieth Century, the
45th day following an eclipse has been particularly sensitive to the
disastrous consequences of eclipse. This is because 45 days equals one
and one half a lunar cycle.
Have you noiced that after a lull of relative peacefulness of nearly a
month, suddenly violent explosions have leapt into the news? On the
13th of May, near Lagos, Nigeria, an explosion near a refinery caused
by pilfering villagers incinerated hundreds of gas-pinchers. Charred
corpses had to be buried in mass graves. Simultaneously, in the
American Southwest a blazing refinery fire shut down production. The
next day, the 14th of May, 2006, Indonesian authorities ordered the
evacuation of thousands of poor villagers living along the slopes of
the volcano Mount Merapi.
The 45th day, or thereabouts, following an eclipse is a particularly
sensitive period as it marks the end of an E.F.I. Forty-five days from
the total eclipse of the Sun in Pisces on 28 March 2006 is May 13th.
Thus the disasters in Nigeria and the USA, as well as the impending
explosion of Mount Merapi, are right on cue as caused by the last
eclipse a month and a half ago.
The next eclipse events will occur on Sept 7th, 2006 (lunar) and Sept
22, 2006 (solar), and they come with the promise of a terrible toll,
far worse than the last two. As the Boy Scouts are fond of admonishing,
Be Prepared.
This material world is a very dangerous place, and this body that we
love to pamper is fallible to the extent that it could be finished
through any number of reasons at any moment. The only preparation for
going back to Godhead and leaving behind this Rahu-infested material
world is, according to His Divine Graca A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
Prabhupada, Acharya for these times, is the chanting of the Holy Names
