1st may i say you have recorded my favorite memory of Srila Prabhupad when you tell of His asking why He has published the Books? and you say He said that it is only to encourage us to chant Krishna’s Names.

Then i have 1 ?. Can you tell the meaning of the phrase used by Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupad~seven tongued samkirtan movement~ as found in the first article of the first B.T.G.1944

trust you are well thinking Krishna’s Names reading Prabhupad’s Books,
    jonathan

    Prabhu Hamsadutta
Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Are you still the Ritvik as appointed by Srila Prabhupada?
I am a devotee in Mauritius, and I have consistently refused to take initiation with the Iskcon gurus; I have continued to preach that Srila Prabhupada is the only Diksha Guru, and here we are a small group and we wondered whether you might be in a position to act as the RITVIK. If not, we may follow the Bangalore line or the IRM. many thanks. hare krsna.

    Dear Arjoon,

Hare Krishna. All glories to His Divine Grace Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. Please don’t follow the Bangalore or IRM. Keep praying and listening to Srila Prabhupada. Thank you.

Does anyone know these directions Srila Prabhupada refers to in this letter~?~

(Srila Prabhupada Letter to Hayagriva, October 7th, 1968)

68-10 “ So apart from the marriage proposal, you may immediately take to Deity worship. I am sending herewith one copy of the process of Deity worship, compiled by Brahmananda, and that will help you, and Pradyumna also knows, so combined together, you immediately begin Deity worship as Kirtanananda and Brahmananda are doing, and I am sure this process, helped by your regular chanting, will kill Mr. Lust, rest assured. Of course, when you begin, I am at your service always, and will give you suggestions and ways and means to make progress in the Deity worship, but you can immediately adopt this principle.” (Srila Prabhupada Letter to Hayagriva, October 7th, 1968)

it would seem very interesting to have a history of Srila Prabhupada`s directions for ISKCON Deity Puja~

Hey, gurubhai Hansadutta ji! Jai Prabhupad! Jai Nimai Nita, Jai Sri Radhe!

We met at the Schloss so many years ago. The only reason I am not on some of the recordings playing the musette (Chinese version of the shenai) is that I was being driven around to different music stores in LA trying to get an oboe reed for the musette while everyone else was in the studio with the late Vishnujana Swami. Oh well… almost famous, I guess. Some of my best memories touring the country in 1974 and 1975 setting up at different college campuses and doing kirton and passing out prasad. Good times!

    Take care now…
